| julie chinmayi dore left a banking career in at the age of 41 to pursue a career in helping others - physically, mentally and spiritually
she commited herself to an intense period of learning and retraining in yoga and holistic therapies she had appreciated the benefits yoga can bring to modern life for many years before deciding to learn how to pass it on to others

whilst now a practising therapist and yoga teacher, she believes that continuous learning is essential in this ever-changing world and necessary as the whole world becomes more aware of what holistic complementary medicine has to offer
julie successfully completed 200 hours of yoga teacher training with the yoga alliance at the yandara yoga institute in mexico and 500 hours with yoga alliance at the anand prakash ashram near rishikesh in india
on her graduation in india she was given her spiritual name - chinmayi by her lifetime teacher yogi vishvketu
following her training, she travelled through india practising with many different teachers and styles wanting to bring a little more of the spiritual essence of the practice back to the west through her classes and training
she feels that by incorporating aspects of spiritual and emotional elements to her practice is the real key to bliss and fulfils the purpose of akhanda yoga - meaning holistic

for teacher training, chinmayi is a registered yoga school - meaning that the course structure and content has been strutinised by yoga alliance and meets their regulations and approval

yoga alliance has a strict code of conduct for all of it's members to uphold high standards of professional teaching
it is a summation and declaration of acceptable, ethical and professional behaviour by which all registered yoga teachers (RYT) and registered yoga schools (RYS) agree to conduct the teaching and business of yoga
