YOGA FLOW one WORKSHOP
Sunday 5th October 2008 – 10 a.m.– 4 p.m.
Lutterworth Town Hall
This workshop is for those who have been practising yoga for at least 9 months. It is assumed that you know how to get in and out of the postures safely and correctly. It would be suitable if you have practiced before but maybe not for some time, as this workshop would give you the opportunity to ‘catch up’ with the intermediate level, Thursday class. This is a physically challenging, energizing and rewarding workshop which will work every muscle in the body through an intermediate-level sequence of poses in each of the major posture groups:-
STANDING - SEATED - KNEELING - PRONE - SUPINE
The day will finish with some uplifting chants and a rejuvenating and relaxing yoga nidra.
YOGA AND STRESS
Saturday 8th November 2008 - 10.30 a.m - 12.30 p.m
Judgemeadow Community College, Evington, Leicester
85% of serious illness originates from stress. With this modern epidemic in mind, this short course will show you how integrating a little yoga into your daily routine can bring everything back into balance. Keep checking this site for more information.
There will be no Saturday morning class at Lutterworth Leisure Centre on this date. The cost of this workshop will be only £10. It will be necessary to bring your own mat. Please express your interest as soon as possible and we will try and co-ordinate some car-sharing to save further pennies!

This be a wonderful day discovering, exploring, balancing and clearing the seven main energy centres within the body. It will be a participative day using some ancient techniques which you can use when you feel a little out of balance
The day will include a short lecture, yoga, meditation and other creative activity

THE PRINCIPLES OF YOGA

This is suitable for beginners and those who started yoga learning in the last 6 months. It may serve as a refresher if you have been away from yoga for a while. The day will revisit the principles covered in the first 12 classes and help you to structure your own personal practice.
- BREATH - its importance in yoga

- PEACE - in practice and stilling the mind
- ENERGY - using the energy around us
- HEALING - how yoga can heal the mind, body and spirit
- MEDITATION in movement and stillness (Dhyana)

Further information
The cost of each workshop is £25 except Yoga and Stress which is £10. This includes an optional holistic health consultation, which can be booked on the day of the workshop. Existing students may use 2 of their tickets towards the cost, i.e. £10. Please bring a light packed lunch, your mat (if you have one), a blanket etc. Props will be available for your use. Herbal and decaffeinated tea and coffee, water and juice, ‘healthy’ biscuits and cake will be provided!
A minimum of 8 people will be required to run each workshop, so please register within 4 weeks of the course date, so that the hire of the room can be confirmed at that time.
